Beautiful downtown Port Vila

third day in Wonderland. and finally a post not about movies! YAY! but seriously, it's so bloody quiet it's marvellous. except when the band starts playing, but i can't complain about that. arrived on Sydney to a band playing in the airport (which was tiny) and looked straight out of a movie with it's ceiling fans. entertaining bus ride to the resort (first stop!) was narrated by a local covering local trade, history, scenery and tours.
the first afternoon was spent mainly by the pool but was spoilt (only slightly) by typically annoying Aussie backpackers. Room Service was solid if unexceptional. Monday morning was spent mostly by the pool. I'd love to post some photos but I don't have access to the computer I'm working on. That afternoon was lazy and I did very little except do a whole bunch of Sudoku's. I had dinner in the restaurant last night which was lovely (indoor/outdoor and very few people) and there was hardly a whisper as the sun went down. i dial switched the telly last night and watched some Bert(!) and news and then went to bed. btw, i love the hot weather, but man, i can't sleep in it. I wonder if the change of bed has something to do with it? i've never had this problem at home. The back is in fairly good shape (the pool is helping no doubt) and the exercises are continuing.
This morning has also been quiet: confirmed by harbor tour is tomorrow not today, so I'll probably pool it again today and go to town tomorrow. Still haven't got any cash, but I have raked up the hotel bill with room service, internet etc.
Last resort, I'll post some photos when I get back. Dad is insisting that I find a public library so I can get free internet rather than pay $20 an hour!
