Inconceivable!

man, these sudoku's are confladitating. but they're fun. i'm getting better at them all the time, and i've finished moderate ones, but i don't think i've ever finished a tough, and god forbid, i'd ever get a diabolical done. been developing a few plans of attack, a few cunning tricks of my own devisement (?) that have aided me over the last few weeks.
my first trick is to scan down each set of three and look for like numbers in two of the boxes. if there isn't a third of its kind it's fairly easy to work out where it should go in that third box. once i'm done going down i then scan horizontally doing the same trick. once that's done, i check to make sure that there aren't any screamingly obvious gaps staring me down the barrel.
also, here, if there is a row or column that is almost complete i try and see if i can fill it out. this works about 75% of the time.
theeennnn, i do this lil thing i like to call targeting. pick an empty square that has a lot of filled out squares horizontally or vertically on the same plane. quite often you can fill some of these out razzle dazzle.
then at this point, i kinda give up and start scribbling all kinds of numbers in the boxes trying desperately to finish it off. this is where i get stuck as my process of deduction ain't crash hot. sherlock holmes i ain't.
